We've all experienced that moment of doubt when choosing a belt.
Should you rely on the total length? What if you get the size wrong? Don't panic! Choosing the right belt is actually very simple, once you know the right trick.
Contrary to popular belief, a belt's size does not correspond to its total length. It is measured from one specific point to another, to ensure a perfect fit. A belt's size (for example, 90 cm) actually corresponds to the distance measured from the end of the buckle to the middle hole.
Here's the simplest and most effective method to ensure you never go wrong
Measure your waist!
- Put on the pants you plan to wear the belt with.
- Use a soft tape measure to measure your waist, passing it directly through the belt loops of the pants.
- Note the measurement in centimeters. This is the number you'll use as a reference!
This measurement will correspond to the belt size you need. For example, if your waist circumference is 93 cm, opt for a size 95 belt. If you measure 88 cm, choose a size 90.
It's as simple as that! You now have all the keys to finding the ideal belt that will perfectly complete your look.
