We've all experienced that moment of uncertainty when choosing a belt. Should you go by the total length? What if you pick the wrong size? Don't worry! Choosing the right belt is actually very simple once you know the key measurement.
Contrary to what many people think, a belt's size does not correspond to its total length. Instead, it is measured from a specific point to ensure a perfect fit. A belt size (for example, 90 cm) refers to the distance from the end of the buckle to the center hole.
Here is the simplest and most reliable way to make sure you never choose the wrong belt size.
Measure Your Waist
- Put on the trousers you plan to wear with the belt.
- Using a flexible measuring tape, measure your waist by threading the tape through the belt loops.
- Record the measurement in centimeters. This is the number you'll use as your reference.
This measurement corresponds to the belt size you need. For example, if your waist measures 93 cm, choose a 95 cm belt. If your waist measures 88 cm, choose a 90 cm belt.
It's that simple! You now have everything you need to find the perfect belt to complete your outfit.
